Red Bull Crashed Ice Takes St. Paul

I have to be honest, the world of competitive, downhill, extreme skating is pretty new to me.  But when I heard that Brendan Bayers, a longtime friend and former teammate, was taking part in the season opening "Red Bull Crashed Ice" Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota and that the event would be aired on NBC, I figured I needed to at least tune in and see what it was all about.  

These guys were incredible athletes and powerful and agile skaters...but nobody brought the aerial attack to the event like Bayers!

Take a look at some amateur footage from his run at glory.  Fast forward to around the 2:00 mark for multiple views of some incredible footage!  Bayers also showed the heart of a champion "waiving off the stretcher" and finding his way to the finish line.
