Born down in St. Vincents Hospital in the Village, the NYC Ironman will bring me to the Finish Line on the West Side exactly to the day 44 years later. 24 Weeks of highly scheduled training. Hoping the Race is only about 12 hours, but Running the good 44 years is of-course the Real Race

Nothing too exciting. Just a recovery week of 10 Hours 15 Minutes, which inluded 19 Miles of running, and the usual 61 & 51 Minute Swim (but still in the damn chlorine, outside water is almost warm enough). The long ride of the week was only 50 Miles ("only",... or "mear bag of shells" as my wife likes to say to motivate me). Still on the borrowed Aluminum Bike, uneventful other than when I punched the SUV for almost killing me, who then followed me allowing us to threaten each other from respective Bike & Chrysler seats :) I'm pretty sure he was the Jerk of the two of us.... The only other note of the Ride was I couldn't get the song "United breaks Guitars" out of my head pretty much the entire ride, after learing about the story the prior night. It's great! Seriously, You Tube it !
Now we enter May, 3 Months and essentially 14 weeks left of focus and RESOLVE baby ! Looks like I'll be reserving that Irish Bar near the finish line for 8:30 PM, now I really have a Finish Line Deadline !
