Back in Action

After a long layoff from an injury, I will be playing my first game since mid-October against Dinamo Minsk tomorrow night.  HC Torpedo (my team) currently sits in 2nd place in the Western Conference of the KHL. 

We are fighting to finish in the top 4 so we get home ice advantage for the playoffs.  

When I was in college, a great guy by the name of Paul Varteressian came back to the lineup after a long layoff. The practice before his first game back, Paul came onto the ice wearing the wrong color helmet. (he was wearing the away helmet when our game was at home)  The whole team starts banging their sticks and hooting and hollering at Paul.  Paul thinks that everyone is making all the noise because Paul is going to be in the lineup the next day.  In that instance Paul put his hands up to the sky (in a raising the roof motion) and said to himself, "Paul's Back Baby...Paul's Back"

In honor of Paul, I just wanted to say, Ryan's back baby...Ryan's back.
